Lemmy‘s ashes have been put into bullets and given to his friends

It’s been revealed that the ashes of late Motörhead star Lemmy‘s ashes were placed in bullets and given to his closest friends. The legendary frontman and bassist died in December 2015 at the age of 70.
Riki Rachtman, the former host of MTV show Headbangers Ball, revealed the fact that Lemmy had asked that his ashes be collected in bullets and given to friends, and that he had received his yesterday (22 March.)

Rachtman shared a photo of the bullet, engraved with “Lemmy”, and wrote: “Before his death #Lemmy asked for his ashes to be put in some bullets & handed out to his closest friends. Today, I received a bullet and was literally brought to tears.”

Last month, it was revealed that there’s a new Motörhead live album on the way. Entitled Louder Than Noise… Live In Berlin, it was filmed at the Berlin Velodrom in 2012 and features the long-standing power-trio incarnation of Motörhead: Ian ‘Lemmy’ Kilmister, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee.
The album will release on 23 April this year.
