Lowden Guitars announces the O-25 Anniversary Collection
Lowden Guitars has announced the O-25 Anniversary Collection, a limited run of custom appointments celebrating its 45th anniversary.
The collection is in recognition of the early L25 model, which debuted early into the manufacturer’s existence. For a time it was the model that defined Lowden, as George Lowden himself says: “Back in the late seventies, the 25 was originally regarded as THE Lowden. Its richness, warmth and power are true Lowden characteristics. The O-25 has gone on to be used around the world by a vast array of artists in every style and genre imaginable.” Nowadays, Lowden has a lot more models available, including a whole range designed in collaboration with Ed Sheeran – but the O-25 harks back to Lowden’s roots.
The limited edition comes with an engraved ‘45’ plate on the neck heel cap, a vintage-styled Lowden logo, figured mahogany bindings and inlays and a custom back strip. The rest of the guitar’s specs match that of a standard O-25, with a five-piece mahogany and rosewood neck, ebony fretboard, 21 frets and Gotoh SG381 gold tuners. If needed, there’s options for a cutaway, and a left-handed version.

The O-25 Anniversary starts at £3,595. More information at lowdenguitars.com.
