Marilyn Manson dropped from label Loma Vista following allegations of abuse

Marilyn Manson has been dropped by his record label Loma Vista after being accused of grooming, abuse and manipulation by actor Evan Rachel Wood and a handful of other women.
An official statement from Loma Vista announcing the end of its relationship with Manson was issued on social media.
“In light of today’s disturbing allegations […] Loma Vista will cease to further promote [Manson’s] current album effective immediately,” the statement wrote. “Due to these concerning developments, we have also decided not to work with Marilyn Manson on any future projects.”

On 1 February, Evan Rachel Wood took to Instagram to allege that Manson had “horrifically abused” her for years. The two were once a couple that were engaged in January 2010, before splitting up several months later.
Her statement read: “He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission. I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives. I stand with the many victims who will no longer be silent.”

Other women have come forth with similar allegations against Manson, including model Sarah McNeilly, who claimed Manson once “threatened to bash my face in with the baseball bat he was holding” for “trying to get him to pick out a pair of pants prior to a music video.”
Manson has denied the allegations, calling them “horrible distortions of reality” in his own statement issued via social media today (2 February).
“My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners,” he wrote. “Regardless of how – and why – others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth.”
