Mooer’s E7 Synth packs seven tones into a tiny pedal
Mooer has launched the E7 Synth, a seven-patch synth pedal with saveable presets and an arpeggiator. The patches are based on those of the GE300.
The micro enclosure is home to five control knobs: Mix, High Cut, Low Cut Speed and Attack. Mix controls the volume of the wet and dry signals, while the high and low cut knobs roll off either end of the effect’s EQ, which might be useful if the synthesised sounds are wreaking havoc with the rest of your rig’s EQ balance. The Attack knob controls the immediacy of the synth sound.
The Speed knob governs the rate of the arpeggiator, which is activated by holding down the bypass switch. Synth sounds are selected by the means of a small button, and indicated by seven LEDs on the left corner of the pedal. Holding the button down will also save the current control settings into a preset, which is accessed each time you load that particular patch.
There’s also a micro USB port on the side of the pedal, which allows for its firmware to be updated in time. To hear it an action, check out Mooer’s video demo below:
