Neil Young releases archived track from 1972, Come Along And Say You Will

Neil Young has released a new song for his subscribers over at the Neil Young Archives, a 1972 track entitled Come Along And Say You Will.
It was recorded at Young’s Broken Arrow Ranch in December 1972, with drummer Kenny Buttrey, bassist Tim Drummond, and pedal steel guitarist Ben Keith. While this version was never released, the song was played live a handful of times. Hence a few bootleg tapes have circulated, occasionally popping up online.
Though only subscribers to the NYA can hear the track at the moment, it will also feature on the much anticipated and expansive box set The Archives Vol. II: 1972-1976, due out 20 November. The comprehensive release is the follow up to The Archives Vol. 1: 1963-1972, which was released back in 2009.
Archives Vol. II will span 10 discs, and include unreleased music, live recordings and alternate versions of songs from Young’s vast repertoire. The box set centres around Young’s career just after the release of Harvest. Other tracks on the set include a cover of Joni Mitchell’s Raised On Robbery, as well as tunes such as Goodbye Christmas On The Shore, Frozen Man and Born To Run.
