Noel Gallagher says Oasis shouldn’t reunite as “the legacy of the band is set in stone”
Noel Gallagher has once again dismissed the possibility of an Oasis reunion, saying the band shouldn’t get back together as their legacy is “set in stone”.

Gallagher made his comments in his appearance in a recent episode of the Australian talk show, The Project. Although he’s been asked many times about an Oasis reunion since the band split in 2009, he said on the show: “I just don’t feel like it.”
“The legacy of the band is set in stone,” he continued. “If people have seen us, they’ll understand what all the fuss is about. If you didn’t see us, then that’s tough because I’ve never seen The Beatles or the Sex Pistols.”
Gallagher also said he’s happier to march to the beat of his own drum. “When you’re in a band, it’s an absolute compromise,” he said. “So no, I don’t think I could come up with an idea and then run it by four people and then six weeks later, somebody knocks it back because their cat’s got a cough.”
He said: “Oasis is done I’m afraid.”
While it’s possible the band may never take the stage again, it was reported in March 2021 that Noel Gallagher and his brother Liam together established Kosmic Kyte, a film production company.
Other Oasis-related film developments include a concert film on the band’s ‘96 shows at Knebworth, announced last week (11 March). The film will be directed by Jake Scott with the Gallagher brothers serving as executive producers. It’s unclear if Kosmic Kyte has any involvement in the film.
