Ozzy Osbourne and Geezer Butler star in hilarious new ad for Aston Villa home kit
Aston Villa have revealed their brand new claret and blue kit with help from none other than Sabbath rockers and Birmingham natives Ozzy Osbourne and Geezer Butler.
In a new campaign trailer shared by the club, the two metal legends can be seen conversing via phone call, with Osbourne suggesting the pair “play Villa Park” and Butler responding: “As long as I’m left wing!”

Later, Osbourne returns, donning the new kit, yelling: “Sharon! Where are my Preds?!”
Osbourne, who was born in Birmingham, announced last year that he was retiring from live touring following health issues.
“As you may know, four years ago, this month, I had a major accident, where I damaged my spine,” the former Black Sabbath frontman wrote, alluding to his at his Los Angeles home for which he needed neck surgery.
“My one and only purpose during this time has been to get back on stage,” he continued. “My singing voice is fine. However, after three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy sessions, and most recently groundbreaking Cybernics (HAL) Treatment, my body is still physically weak.
However, it was recently revealed that the musician is planning two farewell shows for next year at Villa Park, an area close to where the Black Sabbath member grew up.
His wife, Sharon Osbourne, confirmed the status of the 2025 shows at the London leg of her Cut The Crap tour in January: “He won’t tour again but we are planning on doing two more shows to say goodbye as he feels like ‘I have never said goodbye to my fans and I want to say goodbye properly’.”
