Synergy Amps unveils a new ENGL Powerball Module

Synergy Amps has unveiled a new preamp module based on the ENGL Powerball.
The module version of the Powerball, Synergy says, brings the high-gain power the amp is known for, up to date with “the direct-recording, lower-stage-volume, and compact-guitar-rig demands of today.” It offers the same channel structure as the original, with each of the two channels switchable between low-gain overdrive and high-gain distortion. Each of the two channels also has a three-stage mid boost toggle switch, and its own gain, volume, bass, mid and treble controls.

The launch follows Synergy’s first ever signature model, with Steve Vai co-designing a module, as well as some new Bogner modules from the brand.
The Powerball Module lists for $399.99. Find out more over at synergyamps.com. For more gear news, click here.
