With an onboard looper, you can play melodies over your backing tracks or create unique beats without the need for extra equipment. Simply tap on the circular control located just below the soundhole and start playing. And when you’re done, touch the sensor again to put the looper into playback mode.
Your loops will be saved even after the guitar is powered down. Users can also save and recall up to ten loops using the iOS/Android compatible TAG Remote app, which also allows in-depth control over effect parameters like reverb and delay.
As for Bluetooth, you can easily connect the TAG3 C to smart devices and play your favourite songs directly from the instrument — not unlike a Bluetooth speaker. The sound is transmitted by the two actuators installed on the inner surface of the guitar, giving rise to a “realistic sound that brings music to life.” Those actuators are also also responsible for effects processing in the TransAcoustic.

Elsewhere, the guitar features a four-button control panel that controls levels, loopers and Bluetooth pairing. There’s also a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery that boasts up to five plus hours of play time when fully charged.
Beyond its techy additions, the TAG3 C features a rather familiar build configuration: It has a dreadnought body with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides, a satin-finished mahogany neck, complete with an ebony fretboard and ebony bridge.
The guitar comes in two finishes: Natural (TAG3 C NT) or Sandburst (TAG3 C SDB), and is priced at $1,699.
“TAG3 C is the ultimate tool for players looking to push themselves artistically. The ability to dial in custom reverb, delay and chorus settings without needing any extra equipment is a game changer for creative workflows, and the intuitive looper and Bluetooth audio functions make it easier than ever to write, practice and perform,” says the firm.
