Trivium fan’s kindness repaid in Gibson Les Paul Custom from frontman Matt Heafy

Trivium fan Hector Velasco received a surprise gift from frontman Matt Heafy after his random act of kindness towards a young boy was noticed by the Drew Barrymore Show.
Valesco, a UPS driver, had on his usual delivery route noticed a young boy watching him from his balcony. Staying home out of safety from COVID-19, an ennui-stricken Langston Walbuck was waiting, and hoping to one day receive a package from Valesco, but sadly never got one.
“I felt like I couldn’t do anything at the time, but I’m like you know what, let me see if I can try to bright his day, you know what I mean,” Velasco told ABC7
One day, Valesco returned with a special delivery just for Walbuck, filled with toys and snacks and a note to Walbuck’s parents. “It made me feel special,” Langston said.
To show his appreciation of Valesco’s efforts, Matt Heafy teamed with the Drew Barrymore Show to gift the community hero his very own Gibson Les Paul Custom in ebony, and share a brief message. Watch it below:

In other Trivium news, just two days ago (28 September) Brent Young – who was the band’s original bass player recorded on 2003’s Ember To Inferno – passed away at the age of 37.
