Watch the recording of Deerhunter’s 13-minute song, Timebends

Deerhunter have released a new song, Timebends, along with an accompanying music video. You can watch it above.
The song is Deerhunter’s first release since Why Hasn’t Everything Already Disappeared?, which arrived in January this year.
The track certainly lives up to its name, taking several twists and turns across its extensive runtime, starting out with sparse piano before gradually progressing to a more filled out, psychedelic sound.
The video consists of footage of the recording session overlaid on top of itself, resulting in a colourful, messy picture – granting glimpses of the various pieces of analogue recording equipment and guitar effects being used.
The song’s release coincides with the release of Myths 004, an EP by Deerhunter’s lead singer Bradford Cox, in collaboration with Why Hasn’t Everything Disappeared? producer Cate Le Bon. Both Myths 004 and Timebends are available to stream digitally.
