Dan Lakin and Mark Gooday, have pooled skills, resources and passion for Bass with a line of co-designed Dan Lakin and Ashdown Engineered manufactured Bass guitars, displayed this week at Winter NAMM 2020.
“Originally it was just going to be one bass, but as you can imagine things got a little carried away and we opted to go all out with an impressive range of instruments”, states Ashdown.
The range consists of four instruments as well as a few options for all styles and genres. The range is as follows:
– The Low Rider
– The Saint
– The Arc
– The Grail
The Grail is available with 4 or 5 strings and also comes as a short-scale version.
The basses are constructed with Hipshot Tuners, Dunlop Strap Locks, Wilkinson Bridges & Dunlop Strings, with the necks polymerised using Birchwood-Casey Tru-Oil gun stock oil to obtain the classic feel for the neck.
