CreamT Custom Shop proudly announces the release of Astra, the latest Cream T® electric guitar for discerning players who demand exceptional performance, craftsmanship and versatility.
A sonic time machine unlocking 70 years of tonal exploration and innovation, Astra Rips between the raw vintage grit and warm tones of a single pickup 50’s Esquire style circuit and the cutting-edge sound and feel of a contemporary Humbucker / Single Coil guitar.
With two independent circuits, Astra gives iconic vintage tones plus a wealth of expanded contemporary sounds via a simple switch and dual intuitive pickup selectors, all with the stunning UK built craftsmanship expected of Cream T Custom Shop instruments.
Astra includes the innovative Guitar-X pickup swapping system and is supplied with the choice of a ‘Dumbucker’ dummy neck pickup and a ‘Cream of the Crop’ Humbucker for expanded tonal options.
The ‘Dumbucker’ provides a two-pickup aesthetic with the advantage of zero magnet string pull in the neck position delivering that magical 50’s tone with the highest spec components, or simply switch the pickup out in an instant with any Guitar-X enabled pickup to access a multitude of tones and styles.
The bridge pickup is scanned and accurately cloned from an exceptional original Fender® 1957 single coil pickup and there is also a Black Ice® passive boost available too providing adjustable midrange enhancement and a push/pull coil tap option for the neck humbucker.
