
Further Artists Confirmed For The UK Music Show
Following last weeks announcement confirming further exhibitors, along with Jon Gomm being confirmed for The UK Acoustic Guitar Show as part of The UK Music Show ‘Return to Live Music, two further drumming greats have been added to the all-star line-up for drummers to enjoy of the weekend of the 2nd & 3rd of April 2022 at the ACC Liverpool.
Virgil Donati’s drumming has arguably been at the leading edge for many decades, with his accomplished compositional and orchestration skills also gaining recognition. Never one to seek approval or security, he has maintained an introspective, independent mind, transcending traditional boundaries, always alert to the possibilities beyond the norm.
At the age of 16, Virgil turned pro to enable him to tour and focus on music, and he has since devoted his whole life to his art. The motivation has been his endless and restless pursuit to express himself through his playing.
During his formal years in his homeland Australia, he carved a path in the pop-rock scene culminating in multi platinum success with his band Southern Sons, at the same time pushing progressive and fusion boundaries with Loose Change, and On The Virg.
He has recorded and toured with the likes of Planet X, Steve Vai, Allan Holdsworth, Tony MacAlpine, Kiko Loureiro, Bunny Brunel, Scott Henderson, Steve Walsh, and the Virgil Donati Band, amongst many others.
Virgil has published several educational videos and books. His online store features DVDs, CD’s and digital downloads.

The GEWA G9 team proudly presents Mr. Eric Moore to perform at the UKDrum Show.
Eric Moore is currently one of the most influential and diverse drummers. Whether he is well- known through his social media or from touring with big acts like “Suicidal Tendencies“ or Italian Pop God “Eros Ramazzotti“, some of you might have seen him perform on GEWA´s flagship digital drums, the GEWA G9.
When Eric was touring Europe in 2019 and had the chance to visit the GEWA Drums Development Hub at the GEWA music HQ in Adorf, Germany, he got an exclusive look behind the scenes and checked out the G9 concept at an early stage! Eric was more than impressed by the great team spirit and immediately wanted to become a part of the young GEWA G9 team. In collaboration with renowned artists like Jost Nickel, Ben Barter, Felix Lehrmann and Bene Neuner, GEWA introduced the final version of the GEWA G9 to European retailers in May 2020.

As part of The UK Music Show’s ‘Return to Music’, organisers Gold Media & Events are very pleased to announce the return of both Laurence Cottle and Phil Mann, who were due to appear in 2020 ahead of COVID restrictions.

Laurence Cottle has played jazz with the likes of Wayne shorter, Al Jarreau, Peter Erskine and the Buddy Rich big band and rocked with Black Sabbath, Ian Gillan, Cozy Powell and Ginger Baker. A consummate performer and studio musician, he has recorded several albums under his own name and has lead his own Big band since 1998, a remarkable and varied career defined by his innate versatility Laurence Cottle still continues to perform and record with some of the biggest names in entertainment across a myriad of musical styles. The bassist of choice for many, Laurence has recorded with Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Gary Moore, Brian Eno, Mike Oldfield and Procul Harum.
The bass player with Bill Bruford’s “Earthworks” and Pee Wee Ellis’s “Funk Assembly” and a regular part of Ronnie Scott’s “All Stars” his jazz credentials are impeccable, including work with the likes of Jim Mullen, Django Bates, Gary Husband, Jason Rebello and Tim Garland.
A remarkable musician with an International reputation it is fair to say that he is one of the finest electric bass players ever to come out of the UK.
Laurence is a Jazz Bass Professor at the Guildhall School of Music in London and was awarded Honorary Associateship of the Royal Academy of Musicians in 2019.

Endorsed by Overwater Bass Guitars and Ashdown Amplification; Philip’s performance credits include working with Grammy Award winning musicians Van Morrison, Leo Sayer and the eminent, world-renowned guitarist, Albert Lee.
Appearances with Grammy Award nominees such as Hunter Hayes and Steve Morse (Deep Purple) help bolster a formidable list of other associated artists, which includes: ‘Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame’ inductees ‘The Platters’, Chris Farlowe, Billy Bragg, Chris Difford (Squeeze), Paul Jones (Mannfred Mann), Chas McDivett, Ivor Novello Award winning singer; Shelly Nelson, the award winning Boogie-Woogie pianist Dona Oxford, comedian and BBC historian, Rich Hall and more recently, the Voice UK’s Peter Donegan – son of the seminal British Skiffle artist, Lonnie Donegan, MBE.
