Gold Media announces Bass Guitar Review and dedicated UK Bass Guitar Show for 2020

Following the success of Drummer’s Review, Acoustic Review, Music Instrument News and the UK Drum Show, next month Gold Media and Events is to launch Bass Guitar Review, a new online review site for bass guitars, amplification and related products. A dedicated bass-only show will follow on 28th and 29th March 2020 at the same Manchester Central venue as the internationally praised UK Drum Show. Bass Guitar Review videos will be presented by bassist and seasoned reviewer Kevin Sanders, formally reviewer of Bass Guitar Magazine, and will be edited by MIN and Acoustic Review editor, Gary Cooper.

Gold Media’s MD, Neil Golding says: ‘We are launching into the bass market as a direct response to requests from manufacturers and distributors telling us they were disatsified with bass guitar products being lumped together with electric and acoustic guitars, where they say their products get overlooked, and the absence of a modern video-based UK bass magazine.

‘We know from the success of Drummer’s Review and Acoustic Review that what both players and the trade want today is high quality impartial video review content that they can access easily and quickly (no downloads, paywalls or acres of non-bass products to wade through) and offering videos which the trade can share freely to promote their products.

‘We’ve proved that the formula works with Dummer’s Review. In less than two years since we started we now deliver 200,000 minutes of videos watched every month, and it’s growing every 28 days, which means we’ve provided 1.9 million minutes of drum reviews watched to date. These aren’t a publisher’s made up figures, they are Google’s figures and there for everyone to see. Like their drumming compadres, bass players will now have a dedicated platform for them to hear and see all the latest offerings, along with artist interviews and news.

‘The UK Bass Guitar Show in March will also follow our tried and tested format proved by the overwhelming success of The UK Drum Show, bringing together top manufacturers, some of the biggest name artists and the public in a venue which is acknowledged to be the best and which we’ve shown can draw visitors from all over the country – particularly the previously neglected North and Midlands.’

Companies wishing to appear on Bass Guitar Review or who wish to join confirmed exhibitors for 2020’s show, please contact Neil Golding for advertising and stand availability.
