Merseyside Guitar Show breaks records – earns ITV news slot

Last weekend’s Merseyside Guitar Show drew record crowds and even managed to earn itself a slot on the local ITV News, reports the organiser, Northern Guitar Shows.

The final NGS show of 2018 (2019’s season is currently booking) was held at the Aintree Racecourse Exhibition Centre, occupied four floors and drew over 100 exhibitors.

‘It was wonderful to end another great year of guitar shows with a record-breaking one for the Merseyside Guitar Show,’ NGS’s Peter Hoarty told MIN. ‘Exhibitor and visitor numbers were up again and all the dealers we spoke to were reporting excellent sales. The venue had been refurbished and the facilities were first-class. Exhibitors were delighted with the ease of access and load-out was completed in just over 30 minutes.

‘Liverpool has always been a music city and it’s great to see young and veteran guitarists getting together to meet friends and acquaintances for a catch-up. There was so much interesting product to see that most visitors stayed all day and the superb live music line-up provided a welcome break and opportunity to rest tired feet before heading into the exhibition halls in search of more bargains.’

To close a successful event and round-off the year, ITV featured a report from the show on its local evening news.
