Momentum Continues For New UK Music Show
The UK Music Show organised by Gold Media & Events, which includes The UK Acoustic Guitar Show, The UK Bass Guitar Show, The UK Drum Show and The UK Electric Guitar Show continues to win support from the trade.
The UK Music Show, the new umbrella name of which the four shows will appear under one roof at the ACC Liverpool on the 2nd & 3rd April 2022, has confirmed further artists and exhibitors, as organisers Gold Media & Events continue their commitment and efforts with a ‘Return to Live Music’.
As the new show sites are being prepared to go live, with images, logos and artist bio’s being readied, further brands, Ovation, D’Addario, Bose, Ernie Ball, Music Man, Flint Percussion, Cream T Pickups, Cream T Guitars, The Pedal Club and Sound Service have all confirmed their participation, along with more brands to be announced in the coming days and weeks.
Kicking off just one of the live areas at The UK Music Show will be guitar virtuoso Jon Gomm, who will be appearing at The UK Acoustic Show and its associated live-stage.
Jon Gomm, based in Yorkshire in the UK, is an acoustic singer-songwriter with a revolutionary virtuoso guitar style, where he uses one acoustic guitar to create drum sounds, bass lines and twisting melodies all at the same time. The emphasis is still on the soulful vocals and songwriting, and his original material is influenced by everything from Robert Johnson to Radiohead.
His live shows combine deeply personal performances and a natural wit, with a once seen, never forgotten two-handed guitar style, both physical and complex, producing sounds people can barely believe are coming from a humble acoustic guitar. Read Jon’s full bio here.
“Gold Media & Events have been thrilled with the level of interest received”, states Neil Golding, event organiser. “The resounding remarks which we take comfort from as we proceed with The UK Music Show, is that businesses we have spoken with getting behind this event clearly want a UK based national/international show, as they share our views of not only a united approach, but to create a strong UK event to showcase what can be offered”. “The landscape has changed drastically over the last 12 months, and from comments received, this fresh approach and an event on our home soil have not only got our committed exhibitors excited, but offers a focal point for bounce back in the new year, with a number of businesses stating that they intend to use the show for UK/European launches for consumers to get a first look”.
Adam Ironside, fretted Marketing Manager UK for D’Addario who will be appearing in The UK Electric Guitar Show Hall states “we will be heavily ‘X’ focused. Talking about our XT and XS range of strings”.
“D’Addario XT strings combine high carbon steel cores with an advanced corrosion resistance treatment, giving you enhanced break resistance, pitch stability, and long-lasting performance, all while preserving the tone and feel of your favourite uncoated strings. These are strings made to stay, with uncompromising performance that never fades away and we would look forward to showing these at next years inaugural show”.
Newcomers to The UK Drum Show Hall is Flint Percussion, who are to appear in the new drum hall at The UK Music Show, which sees an expansion from its former home in Manchester to twice the size and is almost at full capacity.
“At Flint Percussion we have always believed that at the beating heart of every drum is the resonating chamber. The more this chamber can be allowed to breathe, the better the sound produced. In order for this to be achieved, the drum shell has to be free from fittings as much as possible”.
“In 2005 we designed the ‘Suspended Shell’ system of drum construction and tensioning. This unique system allows for ‘through the shell’ tensioning and we can even apply this to High Tension drums”.
“This system means that our drums can be constructed with no external hardware such as lugs etc making contact with the shell, which would otherwise tend to dampen shell resonance”.
“Flint drums are different from all other drums in the way that they are constructed, tensioned and look. They are also the lightest in the World”.
“All Flint drums are hand-built at our base in England meaning that individual and personal care is taken with every drum. We pride ourselves on meeting all customisation demands whether this is for one drum or a full corps”.
We look forward to meeting drummers in Liverpool next year and show them what Flint Percussion can uniquely offer them” Tom – Flint Percussion Ltd.
