MUSEWAVES to invest 1.2 million Euros until 2021 in expansion plan and HEXADRUM launch

MuseWaves, the technology start-up of high-end musical instruments, has set out to revolutionise the manufacturing and selling of instruments. Applying space technology and composite materials in the production of its designs, it is taking the initiative in the sector with the aim of becoming a leading European company in the new generation of musical instruments. The philosophy of this innovative start-up is to meet the needs of today’s musicians, applying 21st century technology.
Hexadrum, a pioneering percussion set..
MuseWaves has developed Hexadrum. It is a highly versatile and innovative percussion set as it can be used as a set or independently, with several sound options (drum, cajón, bongos, etc.). Hexadrum is played as a drum kit and is characterised by its exclusive, ergonomic and modular design. It is the solution to the frequent problems of transporting and packing that musicians suffer in their day to day. Hexadrum can be easily carried in its own backpack and is assembled in just four minutes.
Made of carbon fibre and stabilised wood, Hexadrum is the result of an extensive study of the needs of today’s musician and applying in-house technology to composite materials specifically for acoustics.
The objective of MuseWaves is to develop high-end instruments using composite materials that offer excellent acoustic performance. For this, it uses advanced acoustic analysis and vibrations technologies.
“Through the deep understanding obtained from acoustic and vibration analysis and measurements, we achieve unprecedented volume, projection, frequency response and dynamics.” MuseWaves.
Between 2019 and 2021 MuseWaves will invest more than 1.2 million euros to boost its internationalisation plan and to implement the patent strategy for the results of its R&D.
MuseWaves has been recognised with the “Seal of Excellence” of the European Commission’s H2020 programme and has received a grant from the CDTI for €250,000 after being selected in its NEOTEC programme to promote technology companies. It is currently negotiating a €170,000 ENISA loan.
In addition to the public aid received and a successful round of capital in 2018 of €160,000, the company is immersed in negotiations to incorporate national and international investors for the value of €500,000.
