Aim Audio Announces Shipping Of Their Innovative Studio Microphone Range

A new pro-audio brand with a very experienced global industry team, Aim Audio’s factory is based in Berlin and has brought back volume production to the original home of the world’s greatest Studio Condenser Microphones.

While the brand and mics have been previewed to great reception at NAMM and other international events, the complex development of making all new ground-breaking and stunningly beautiful mics from the ground up has now been finally realised, meaning that Aim Audio is now ready to ship its first products in September 2025.

Both of Aim Audio’s new high-performance microphone models contain world firsts. INSPIRE and ESSENCE both come with a host of unique and useful innovative features, including Aim’s patented switchable Transformer/Electronic output stage. Add to that, the ORBIT is no ordinary shock mount and with its customised absorption Lyres, unique patented 190 degree positioning, superior performance and ease of use, users will wonder why all shock mounts aren’t made like this.

In addition, the Multipattern INSPIRE + PACK now includes a custom hard case, the ORBIT custom shock mount, Aim’s magnetic Resorber ring and the SENTRY magnetic reversible pop filter, making this powerful package the complete solution for any recording scenario, professional or home alike.

From the outset, the Aim team wanted to uncover the core of a studio microphone, examining its design, functionality and what truly makes it tick. The aesthetics are a result of a collaboration with one of the world’s top Industrial Design teams in Germany. We sought to not reinvent the wheel for the sake of it, but improve usability and ergonomics for studio and stage, all while still having a deep and respectful nod to the past. At the same time, we desired to make our products as affordable as possible, so more musicians, creators and engineers can benefit from our new technologies.

Our electronics have been conceived by our engineering team to not only aspire to be as good as the best that is on the market today, but also greatly exceed many of our competitors’ offerings. Both mics feature no less than 5 individual PCBs, that are fabricated just outside Berlin, with a custom wound Toroidal Transformer to keep noise floor to a minimum. Every single mic is also assembled, tested and calibrated by hand in Berlin, Germany using our own test chamber.

From the fresh look, backlit and tactile controls, built-in Peak Level Metering, right up to the Reversible capsule Direction in INSPIRE and the ORBIT shockmount, we firmly believe we have added genuinely useful innovations to the category.

The sound of the microphones has also been cross checked and blind tested by a leading panel of studio engineers, musicians, voice artists and influencers all over the world and the style and tonality of our hand-made capsules were chosen entirely by ear. From a direct, beautifully open and fast response to smooth and intimate sounds with sparkling harmonics and deep lows, plus the ability to compare on the fly, all should help to make Aim Audio mics become a top choice – wherever and for whatever source users wish to use them on.

Bruce Davidson, co-founder commented “Since we previewed the brand at NAMM 2024, the entire Aim Audio team has been refining and improving our unique designs, leveraging extensive feedback from our global community of studio professionals and musicians alike. Aim’s vision has always been to create useful innovations, rather than just making yet another set of tributes to classic mic designs. In the process, we overcame several unforeseen challenges in mass producing our distinctive products at the quality and price points we wanted to achieve. We now have made better mics that exceeded our initial goals, including a complete redesign of the suspension system in ORBIT, to create tools that will make a difference in users’ everyday recording experiences and enable more creators to produce the best recordings they can. All of us at Aim Audio can’t wait for the world to see, hear and use our new creations that we are immensely proud of”.
