All change at Manchester Drum Centre

All change at Manchester Drum Centre

Rob Pearson, long time proprietor of Manchester Drum Centre will be retiring at the end of October, after 31 years at the helm. Taking over will be well known industry personality (not to mention friend and customer of Rob Pearson’s), Craig Buckely, among other roles, General Manager at Premier Drums between 2010 and 2013.
Rob Pearson comments: ‘I’m pleased that Craig is going to carry on the business that I started back in 1986 as I know it will be in very capable hands.
‘It has always been my passion to talk about drums with all the wonderful customers and friends I have made over the years and I want to thank you all for your support. I’d also like to say thank you to all the suppliers and representatives who I have had some great relationships with during the last 31 years.
‘Although I’m retiring, I will still be keeping in touch with Craig and all the loyal staff and I wish them all the very best. The passion for drums and friendly customer service will continue through them.’
Craig Buckley adds: ‘I am delighted to be taking over such a great business, in particular one that I have been extremely familiar with pretty much since day one that Rob opened the store. We will carry on running as Manchester Drum Centre until February 2018 so that we don’t cause any disruption over the Christmas period. In late January the store will be refitted and rebranded to take on its new look. All of the staff remain and Sam will continue as The General Manager of the business. I can’t tell you how much I am looking forward to this new challenge, it is a dream come true.’
