DPA is to embark on a US tour, where special guest engineers will share insights on how to achieve the best in House of Worship sound.

Sessions will take place on Tuesday, October 9 at National Community Church, in Washington, DC, and Tuesday, October 23 at Queen City Church, in Charlotte, NC.

Guests at the event will learn the key practices on miking drums, vocals, as well as how to overcome miking challenges. DPA’s new subminiature line of d:screet and d:fine lavalier and headset microphones will also be on display.

The first showing is on October 9 where special guest engineers Kent Margraves, Chris McMillan and Kevin Sanchez will be sharing insight and 60 years of industry knowledge and experience. Margraves previously worked as an audio director at two churches and toured as a concert FOH mixer. Sanchez has worked as a freelance audio engineer, sound designer and technician.

DPA’s second showing will be on October 23 where audio engineers Chris McMillan, Daniel Rivera and Jarred Venter will be guest speaking. Rivera in sales and business development at Meyer Sound, where he observes the House of Worship market. Venter worked as a volunteer with Hillsong Church South Africa and has also worked for Christian artist Kari Jobe, as her FOH engineer and production manager.

DPA’s VP of sales and marketing, Christopher Spahr, said: “DPA is an ideal solution for miking worship leaders, speakers, singers and instrumentalists as well as live streaming or broadcasting sermons. The first leg of the tour allows us to travel to regional churches to educate HOW professionals about our solutions and how our mics can help worship services deliver the best sound for any meaningful message.”
