HHB makes ‘essential’ upgrades to London HQ demo space
The leading pro audio supplier has updated its North West London facility with a range of new products and technologies.
HHB Communications sales director Steve Angel has told PSNEurope that the company has created “a highly adaptable and configurable demo space,” following the renovation of the demo facilities at its North West London HQ.
With its newly acquired distribution of console and routing systems specialist Studer, HHB has installed a Vista 1 Black Edition as the main control desk console for the newly designed room.
The acoustically treated space also features a Genelec 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos speaker array and a wide range of speaker models available to A/B compare. All audio is running through a Dante AoIP focused system, managed by Dante Domain Manager, and featuring a DAD AX-32 for Pro Tools I/O & A/D – D/A, controlled and distributed to all the speakers in the room via a BSS BLU-806 Processor, and BSS Contrio Panel.
Speaking to PSNEurope, Angel said: “We have created a highly adaptable and configurable demo space, allowing us to offer bespoke demonstrations and training sessions with the key products and technologies we offer, for example Studer, Avid Pro Tools, Audio over IP solutions and a wide range of studio monitors. Additionally as Dolby ATMOS becomes a regularly specified format by film and TV content creators it was essential that we installed a Genelec ATMOS monitoring system.”
“A lot of time and consideration went into the refurbishment and upgrade of the studio,” added John Johnson, HHB’s CTO. “With post, recording, and broadcast demands constantly evolving through new technologies (such as Immersive Audio, and Audio over IP), we wanted to consider as many different demonstration scenarios as possible to ensure we have the flexibility to accommodate any and all requests from our clients.”
The facility is now available for demonstrations by appointment only.
