Introducing Artcore: A New Platform for Independent Artists and Labels.
Introducing Artcore, the new online marketplace where artists and independent labels can sell their music directly to fans and DJs.
Tom Burnell, Artcore’s creator, felt dissatisfied with existing music download offerings; a sentiment echoed by other artists and DJs. Combining his background as a DJ, producer and 25 years of software development experience, Tom set out to build Artcore. His vision was to better serve the needs of artists, fans and DJs where creators are empowered to showcase, sell and earn more fairly from their music than through other platforms and streaming services.
For Artists & Labels
Artcore enables artists and independent labels to upload their music directly, set their own prices, create special discount codes for their fans and split royalties with artists or collaborators through the platform.
The standard commission rate on digital sales is 20% which can be reduced via site promotions and customer referrals, meaning that artists are able to retain between 70-93% of their sales after Artcore’s commission and any PayPal fees. Artist and label pages are customisable with a bio, social media links and the capacity to embed their latest music video.
For DJs & Fans
Artcore’s feature-rich preview player includes pitch control, key commands and the ability to queue multiple tracks. The “Selected For You” tool compiles a list of tracks matching user-specified genre filters to aid discovery.
Metadata including BPM and musical key information is displayed alongside the music and powerful search and filtering options allow users to target the music they are looking for.
Purchased tracks can be streamed at 190kpbs and downloaded as 320kpbs MP3 and WAV files. Downloads are fast, can be batched as a zip file, and remain re-downloadable from a user’s online library.
Artcore has been designed with DJs and electronic music artists in mind, however it is open to all and welcomes bands, singer-songwriters and other music acts.
To celebrate its launch, Artists and labels joining and uploading at least one release before the 20th December 2023 will benefit from a reduced commission rate of 7% until the end of March 2024.
Experience new music and features added regularly. It’s quick to sign up and creators can upload their music in minutes. For labels with large back catalogues, we offer the support you need to get your music online.
