Mackie celebrates 30th birthday
Mackie, the US audio company that pioneered modern, affordable roadworthy PA mixers for bands, is celebrating its 30th birthday with a new video.
Launched as TAPCO by former Boeing employee, Greg Mackie, 1969 saw the introduction of the $300 LM-1602 line mixer, from the outset marketed by a Rock ‘n Roll brand with a light-hearted marketing style continued in the new video. The LM-1602 was soon followed by the Mackie CR-1604 a 16-channel audio mixer that was an instant hit with performing artists worldwide.
