Manchester’s UK Drum Show offers free lessons experience
Manchester’s UK Drum Show (29 & 30th of September) has announced yet more additions to this year’s event with brand new ‘Experience Rooms’ and ‘The Education Zone’, sponsored by Trinity College London in association with Roland drums. It has also announced the almost completed line-up of this year’s star artists.
Show Organiser, Neil Golding explains: ‘In order to maintain, grow numbers and keep things fresh, our drum exhibition has to continually deliver useful, entertaining, educational and unique experiences as well as being a place where exhibitors can talk about their products and innovations.
‘This year, in addition to the main exhibition hall, TUKDS has partnered with Yamaha, Meinl, Sabian and Mapex/Paiste, who will have, in addition to their exhibition booth, their own dedicated room for clinics, or for discussing their products, hosted by product specialists and contributing artists. Providing these four dedicated rooms means visitors gain greater understanding and insight about technology, innovation and of course most importantly, sound! We are confident that these Experience Rooms will not only benefit the brands directly involved but all the brands that have chosen to exhibit, as they will offer greater insight and thought processes – and isn’t just about how much noise can be made!
‘In addition to main stage performances, the Mike Dolbear masterclass room, Experience Rooms, and with over 60+ brands signed up, Trinity College London in association with Roland Drums, is providing free drum lessons via Trinity’s experienced tutors. Lessons were particularly popular at last year’s event, so to have Trinity sponsor this zone of the show and to provide further or introductory lessons to drummers, is another element of the show we are very happy to provide. Details of how visitors can sign up will be provided shortly’.
