JP6 broken truss rod / neck replacement

Hi, two questions about MM JP6 truss rod and neck… following the unfortunate discovery of a broken truss rod on my beloved 2001 mystic dream JP6 I’m investigating several options.

1. does anybody know how the truss rod anchor is made inside the neck? Is it a threaded metal piece, that would make it manageable to unscrew the remaining part of the truss rod?
2. would a Sterling JP60 neck fit in place of the original MM neck? From online pictures it looks like it is the same heel shape…
