The Dirtbike Royale swaps out the single Railhammer humbucker in the original Dirtbike for a pair of Mojotone P90 pickups. In the bridge, there’s an aggressively-voiced Hot Quiet Coil P90, while the neck position has a Mojotone ’56 Quiet Coil Soapbar, voiced after a more vintage-style pickup. Both pickups are also hum-cancelling.
Hardware has also been switched up, the vibrato bridge of the original being replaced by a Wilkinson GTB wraparound bridge for a Les Paul Special vibe when combined with two P90s.
The guitar also bears some signature Reverend construction points with a Korina body, Boneite nut, locking tuners, and a dual-action truss rod.
Electronics also include Reverend’s own bass contour control, which rolls off low end for a tighter distorted sound or a more sparkly clean sound.
The Dirtbike Royale is Gabrels’ fourth signature guitar with Reverend, following his standard signature model, the RG-Sus version of this guitar featuring a Sustaniac pickup and the standard Dirtbike from which this guitar continues.
