Say goodbye to wall warts – Walrus Audio’s new Canvas Power HP has enough juice to power your Quad Cortex
Struggling to power your ever-growing collection of digital pedals and modellers? Or simply looking for a more elegant way to do so? Walrus Audio’s new Canvas Power HP offers the perfect solution.

With its impressive 3,000mA output, switchable between 9V and 12V, the unit can effortlessly juice even the most high-demand modellers on the market today, including the beastly Quad Cortex, Headrush, and HX Stomp.
But that’s not all. The Power HP also features three additional outputs, each delivering up to 500mA of silent, isolated and clean 9V power – which is more than enough for some of the more power-hungry digital guitar effects pedals out there.
“Each output is isolated, highly efficient, and heavily filtered ensuring they supply plenty of power with incredibly low noise,” says Walrus, who describes the Power HP as an “ideal solution” for ‘Hybrid Boards’ that combine “current-hungry” digital amp modellers and “more usual” effect pedals.

As part of the Canvas Power series, the Power HP is available for purchase as a standalone power supply or as a linkable unit to all other Canvas Power models via a 24V link option, allowing you to grow your rig without adding another cable you need to plug into the wall.
The super slim 1.2 inch design, meanwhile, allows the Canvas Power HP to fit under flat pedalboards like Pedaltrain’s METRO series, and the included universal mounting brackets mean you don’t have to worry about your power supply staying put when you’re hustling to your next gig. There’s even an onboard LED power metre for you to see how much power is remaining.
The standalone version of the Canvas Power HP, complete with a worldwide voltage-compatible DC brick, will cost you $229/£225, while the link-only version is priced at $209/£205.
