Fender pulls no punches with the Troublemaker Tele Deluxe Bigsby
Fender has announced the Troublemaker Tele Deluxe Bigsby, a souped-up version of its Troublemaker Tele Deluxe and the latest member of the Parallel Universe Vol II series.
The guitar comes sharply dressed in a Tuxedo Black nitrocellulose finish. It has a mahogany body and neck, as well as an ebony fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets. Meanwhile, it has a modern C neck profile and its fretboard radius sits at a flat 12 inches.
This Tele is seriously tricked out when it comes to electronics, with a trio of custom calibrated Double Tap humbuckers on deck. The neck and middle pickups are touted by Fender to offer “open, delicate tones” while the bridge one is voiced for “robust power”.
Push-pull volume controls let you coil-split each pickup; together with a three-way toggle switch, the guitar offers eight distinct voices. As for knobs, there are two sets of volume and tone controls.
As the name implies, this guitar equips a Bigsby tremolo system and like the rest of its hardware, it’s finished in gold. Besides those, there are pearl-button Kluson tuners, as well as a special neck plate and certificate of authenticity to commemorate the Parallel Universe series. The guitar also comes with a custom colour case.
