Fender reveals 60th Anniversary Jazz Bass and Road Worn Jazz Bass

Fender has announced the 60th Anniversary Jazz Bass, a limited-edition faithful celebration of its classic electric bass. It also comes in a Road Worn edition, with a hand-distressed finish and a few other changes.
The standard 60th Anniversary Jazz Bass has an Alder Body loaded with two Pure Vintage ‘62 pickups, controlled by a pair concentric volume and tone knobs – meaning independent tweaking for each. This feature was found on the very first Jazz Bass models from as early as 1960. The U-shaped maple neck is topped with a bound rosewood fingerboard, boasting vintage tall frets and a period-correct 7.25-inch radius.
The bass comes finished in Arctic Pearl, complemented by its tortoiseshell pickguard. It ships with a deluxe vintage case.
The Road Worn version of the 60th Anniversary Jazz Bass sports a slightly more recent construction style, with a C-shaped neck, 9.5-inch radius fretboard and medium-jumbo frets for a more mid-60s feel. Its finish is, of course, hand-distressed – and you have a choice of three-colour sunburst, Olympic White or Firemist Silver.
