Five new electric and bass amplifiers: March 2019

Every month, we compile a list of announcements, releases, and rumours from amp and speaker makers big and small. Here are our favourites from the past month.
Rift Amplification Aynsley Lister signature amp
The Aynsley Lister signature amp in head/cab configurationBlues guitarist Aynsley Lister has collaborated with Rift Amplification on a signature model that’s been described as “quintessentially British”. It’s a 35 watt, all-tube amp that comes in head, 1×12” combo and 2×12” combo formats.
TC Electronic BAM200

The BAM200 is a truly versatile bass amp that’s designed for anything from bedroom to studio to stage settings. Despite its small size – it’ll fit in your pocket – the amp’s got 200 watts of power, and an XLR DI Out which can connect to recording gear and front-of-house systems.
Fender ’62 Princeton Chris Stapleton Edition

This new amp out of Fender’s corner is a Chris Stapleton signature, based a Brownface the country star favoured early on in his career. It’s a 12-watt, 120-volt combo with design features specially requested by Stapleton himself, including an upgraded speaker and an organic tremolo.
Darkglass Electronics Microtubes 900 V2

Darkglass Electronics fans will recognise this one as an upgrade of the original Microtubes. Under the hood, it has both the drive engines of the B3K and the Vintage Microtubes, so it can handle anything from soft rock to heavy metal.
Mesa Boogie California Tweed 6V6 4:40
