Fuzzrocious reignites the 420 Fuzz

Following its initial launch in April 2018, Fuzzrocious has once again teamed up with Reverb.com for a second run of its 420 Fuzz pedal.
The pedal itself is a dual fuzz unit, with two discrete fuzz circuits that can be used either on their own or blended together. The second version now arrives in a variety of colourways, depending on the retailer you go with, including Reverb’s own neon green, as well as black sparkle, hot pink, orange and more.
On the inside, however, the new version features the same EL5420csz quad op-amp with dual fuzz circuits for a complete doom-tinged wall of fuzz when blended via the central hybrid control. The first fuzz circuit is a high-sustain fuzz with a tone stack that growls heavily in the lows and lower-mids, while the second circuit is more of a mid-scooped and heavy gated fuzz.
Joining these features for the new version is a clean blend, allowing you to keep the harshness to acceptable levels, as well as a 9V/18V toggle switch. At the higher voltage setting, the pedal is given a headroom boost – meaning less compression and more clarity in the resulting signal. Take a listen to Reverb’s official demo of the original below:
