Gene Simmons is giving you the chance to be his roadie for the day… for $12,485

Ever dreamed of lugging gear, setting up a stage, and fetching coffee for a rockstar? No? Well, Gene Simmons thinks you should – and he’s willing to let you, for the princely sum of $12,485.
The Kiss bassist and businessman is hitting the road with The Gene Simmons Band in April and May. But before you get too excited about just attending the show, Simmons has decided to spice things up by letting one lucky (and well-funded) fan per concert become his “personal assistant and band roadie”.

Dubbed The Ultimate Gene Simmons Experience, this exclusive package offers a fan the rare opportunity to do all the backstage grunt work – helping with load-in, setting up the stage, sitting in on soundcheck, and even getting introduced by Simmons during the show. But don’t worry, there are perks! You also get to share a meal with The Demon himself and take home a bass guitar that was previously used in a Kiss rehearsal.
Of course, all of this comes at the hefty price of $12,485, which does not include the actual concert ticket. That’s right, you still have to buy that separately.
If lifting amps and hauling cables isn’t your thing but you still have a couple thousand dollars to splash, there’s another option. The Gene Simmons Bass Experience lets you and three guests meet Simmons backstage, with the added bonus of taking home one of his bass guitars. For $6,500, you can get a non-stage-played instrument, while a bass that Simmons has actually played on stage will set you back a cool $12,500.
With 26 dates currently scheduled across North America, there’s plenty of opportunities for fans to get their hands dirty – quite literally.
Once described by Business Insider as “the business architect behind the band,” Simmons has always been vocal about his business-like approach to managing the Kiss brand.
“You can kind of move around your art based on whether you want to please other people or just yourself, which is the eternal push and pull,” the bass player told Ultimate Guitar in 2022.
“Whether you’re a writer or a painter, or musician or a sculptor, you’re either doing it for yourself or other people. If the two meet, you like what you’re doing, and they like what you’re doing, you’re really happy. But often, it’s a hard choice. [You might say] “I like it, I don’t care if anybody else likes it.” Or, [you might have] the guy who does it all for people, even though he might hate it, which in my opinion is just as valid and just as ethical as anything else.”
“[People say to me] ‘You sellout.’ You’re damn right, bitch. I sell out every night.”
