There’s everything you’d expect from a modern digital pedal, but with the classic sound of an analogue model.

For clean sounds and extended delay times, as well as the versatility to offer traditional tones too, BOSS uses eight 2048-stage BBDs instead of the more widely-used 4096-stage BBD. The smaller BBDs produce a much wider range of sound.
Take advantage of the Intensity knob to get delays into saturated self-oscillation, and use the Variation nob to move through parameters unique to each of the 12 modes. And, make the most of the DM-101’s CPU control by producing sophisticated stereo sounds not available with other BBD analogue delays. Six of the 12 modes support stereo operation, so you’ll be able to get everything from shorter, reverb-like sounds to pattern delays.

When the pedal came out around a year ago, we gave it a glowing nine out of 10 review, describing it as “a spectacular return from BOSS to analogue delay and the finest all-round example of it to date” and “an investment but it could be the last delay pedal you buy.”
We said it could be worth almost $500 if you’re a fan of analogue delay and will use the pedal a lot, so an extra $100 off on top of that seems like a great deal.
You can buy the BOSS DM-101 Delay Machine Effects Pedal at Guitar Center.
