Haunted Labs, Cusack Music team up on fiery Carolina Reaper pedal
Haunted Labs has joined forces with Cusack Music on Carolina Reaper, an overdrive/fuzz pedal voiced for incendiary tones.
At the heart of this ghoulish-looking unit are two high-gain circuits: overdrive and fuzz. The former can elicit piercing wails, while the latter is capable of scathing fuzz tones. The circuits can be deployed independently or in parallel for some unearthly sounds, as Haunted Labs claims.
Each circuit is governed by an independent set of controls. The Fuzz tone can be shaped by fuzz, bias and volume knobs, while the overdrive’s character can be sculpted by gain, tone and volume knobs. Additionally, each circuit can be engaged by a true bypass switch, which also features soft-touch switching.
