Heritage Custom Shop marks its 40th anniversary with new H-150 and H-555 models

Editor’s note: Heritage Guitars and Guitar.com are both part of the Caldecott Music Group.
Heritage Guitars is celebrating its 40th birthday in style. The company has unveiled two limited-edition anniversary models of its signature H-150 and H-555 guitars.
Both models are equipped with Heritage Custom Shop’s latest reworking of the 225 Classic Humbucker, designed with keen attention to detail, hand-wound in-house and boasting unpotted coils for a lush, vintage feel.

Heritage has also made every effort to reduce microphone feedback, fitting the humbuckers with potted covers. Each set also has Alnico 5 magnets in the neck and Alnico 2 in the bridge, allowing you to perform with sharp, distinctive notes and tonal clarity.
While the H-150 and H-55 models aim to capture the nostalgic essence of Heritage’s 40 years of sound, the electronics allow players to perform vintage tones with precision. Luxe bumble bee capacitors and CTS potentiometers are equipped, giving the guitar a premium sound and feel.
Aesthetically, the guitars also look the part, too; the H-150 comes in a warm, Bourbon Burst with a deep cherry back, while the H-555 is equally as classy in an Almond Burst. Both are also have a C-shaped neck profile, maple pickguards and tortoise shell side dots, with trapezoid inlays for the H-150 and cat eye for the H-555.
Crafted at Heritage’s iconic factory at 225 Parsons Street, Michigan, both the H-150 and H-555 embody the company’s 40 years of hands-on quality. And the limited run of 40 pieces for each model makes them ultra exclusive, so you’ll have to be quick on the draw to snatch one up.
The H-150 and H-555 are the latest releases to mark Heritage’s milestone anniversary. Back in April, the company shared the news of the H-717, a classy tone-tapped spruce top that offered  “unparalleled” acoustic resonance thanks to its jazzbox body.
