The Ibanez JSM20TH comes in a stylish gloss black finish, paired with gold hardware and cream pickup rings. It also features a special truss rod cover engraved with Scofield’s signature.
The maple-bodied guitar comes matched with an African mahogany set neck and a bound ebony fretboard. It has 22 jumbo frets and ornate acrylic/abalone block inlays that lend to the guitar’s premium aesthetic.
Electronics include a pair of JSM Special humbuckers, routed to two pairs of volume and tone controls, plus a three-way selector.
For hardware, there’s a TOM-style Gotoh 510BN bridge with GE101A tailpiece, Gotoh 510 tuning machines and a bone/brass nut.

“I loved the way the neck felt on my 1981 AS200, and that was the guitar I always returned to,” Scofield said in a statement on the guitar from the time. “You find what you’re comfortable with and you stay with it.”
Pricing and availability for the Ibanez JSM20TH have yet to be announced.
