Keeley Electronics’ new Rotary pedal is apparently “knocking industry titans off pedal boards”
Keeley Electronics has unveiled Rotary, its new rotary speaker guitar pedal that’s apparently so well built it’s “knocking industry titans off pedal boards”.
Featuring a brand new set of circuits, intuitive controls, and true stereo capabilities, this pedal lets you achieve that classic rotary sound with a rich, “chorus-y” effect and a tube-like overdrive, reminiscent of those era-defining guitar tones.

“Rotary speaker cabinets impart a one-of-a-kind type of chorus effect. This pedal faithfully recreates the swirling textures and vintage warmth of those rotary cabinets,” says Keeley.
Control is simple and intuitive with a large central knob for Speed, complemented by two smaller knobs for Blend and Drive. The Blend dial allows you to find the perfect balance between dry and wet signals, achieving anything from “a subtle warble” to a “full-on sonic whirlpool”. The Drive knob, meanwhile, provides tube-like harmonic saturation, adding extra depth and character to your tone.
Other key features include an adjustable ramp rate for smooth transitions between Slow and Fast modes, a Brake mode that can slow down the rotation for a cool “stopping” effect, a mid-boost switch that offers three different EQ curves, as well as a pulsing LED speed indicator that reacts to the rotary effect.
The pedal also boasts stereo ins and outs, making it compatible with modern setups while ensuring pristine tone through selectable True or Buffered bypass options.
“The Rotary is built with artfully designed circuitry and housed in a proprietary angled aluminum enclosure, ensuring both simplicity and durability,” states Keeley. “The quality is so impressive that it’s knocking industry titans off pedal boards.”
Like all Keeley pedals, the Rotary is designed and manufactured in the USA. It is now available for purchase at $229.
Earlier this year, Keeley teamed up with retailer Sweetwater on the California Girls 12-string guitar simulator and the I Get Around rotary speaker simulator — two limited edition effects pedals inspired by the sound of the Beach Boys.
