KISS have announced the last dates of their Farewell tour, and promised that these are the “absolute final shows” that they will ever perform.

Set to end later this year in New York City – the city where KISS first founded – these shows will mark an end to the band’s half-a-century-long touring career.
The dates are centred across North America, kicking off in October and continuing through to the beginning of December. For these closing shows, the band will bring the tour to an end with two consecutive dates in New York’s Madison Square Garden.
“KISS was born in New York City. On 23rd Street. Half a century ago. It will be a privilege and honour to finish touring at Madison Square Garden, 10 blocks and 50 years from where we first started,” the members stated in a new post.
Announced yesterday (1 March) on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show, all new dates are part of the band’s ongoing End of the Road Tour.
Originally starting in 2018 as a self-proclaimed retirement send-off, the tour was expected to end in 2021. However, this was later delayed due to the pandemic.
A set of UK dates are also scheduled, taking place this summer. These are expected to be KISS’ last performances in the region.
Over the past two decades, KISS have announced numerous ‘final tour dates’, which may lead to speculation regarding whether this tour is truly the end.
That being said, in an interview with Podcast Rock City last month, the band’s longtime tour manager Doc McGhee confirmed that this stint will be their last.
“They love [touring]. They thrive on it. We have a great time on the road,” he said (via Blabbermouth).
“So, it’s, like, ‘Why are we ending this?’ And we’re ending this because this is the time to end it. This is it, 50 years of KISS. Let them move on to their next phase of whatever they wanna do.”
Presale for the newly-announced dates commences on 6 March. General onsale is available from 10 March at 10 am.
