The concert was held this February at the London Palladium as a celebration of Green’s music and the almighty first incarnation of Fleetwood Mac.
Some of the biggest names in music joined the tribute to perform Green’s music. They include the likes of David Gilmour, Pete Townshend, Kirk Hammett, Noel Gallagher, John Mayall, Bill Wyman, Steven Tyler, Zak Starkey, Jeremy Spencer, Christine McVie and Neil Finn.
Green passed away in July at the age of 73.
Mick Fleetwood, who assembled the star-studded lineup for the evening, said that the show was “a celebration of those early blues days where we all began”.
“It’s important to recognise the profound impact Peter and the early Fleetwood Mac had on the world of music,” he said in a statement. “Peter was my greatest mentor and it gave me such joy to pay tribute to his incredible talent.”
“I was honoured to be sharing the stage with some of the many artists Peter has inspired over the years and who share my great respect for this remarkable musician. ‘Then Play On’…”
The show will also be released as an album on 30 April 2021 across various CD and vinyl editions. A Blu-ray release of the concert film is also being planned.
The exact dates and markets for the cinema run of the concert will be announced at a later date.
