Old Blood Noise Endeavors launches the Expression Ramper, an affordable way to automate and rethink expression

Old Blood Noise Endeavors has launched the Expression Ramper, a compact control pedal designed to automate other pedals’ expression parameters.
The pedal allows you to dial in two different expression parameters, and then move between them in several different ways once the footswitch has been pressed. In Tri mode, the pedal glides across a linear triangle wave sweep between A and B. In Sqr mode it instead uses a squarewave for an instant change. These two modes work with an LFO, constantly oscillating between the A and B expression parameters.
A more out-there mode is ‘A<>B’ mode. This activates a one-shot sweep between the two positions. This means that each time the footswich is pressed, the pedal’s expression parameter will sweep towards the other and stay there, as if you were to make one heel-to-toe movement on a more traditional expression pedal. The speed of the LFO and the one-shot ramp are both adjusted via the pedal’s rate
The pedal has support for preset storage, as well as configurable expression output (TRS, TS, or reverse-polarity TRS), an LED that shows you which setting you’re currently using and a compact enclosure with a top-mounted EXP jack.
The Expression Ramper lists for only £59, and will be available later this month.
You can hear the pedal in action with Old Blood Noise Endeavors’ demo video below.
