Orange launches “legend in the making” O Tone 40 amplifier plus series of portable Baby amps
NAMM 2025: Orange is predicting its newest combo amplifier is a “legendary amp in the making”. The new O Tone 40 lands alongside a range of Baby amplifiers, too, and is a single channel, 40-Watt Class A/B solid state combo with onboard tremolo and reverb controls, a buffered effects loop, and “plenty of punchy volume”.
The O Tone 40 hosts a 12” Voice of the World speaker and is ideal for rock, country, blues, and more, according to Orange. The brand also says it works well with any pedal set-up or as a small venue workhorse for guitarists seeking “warm, vintage tones”.

The amp’s bias-wobbled, single-ended JFET tremolo circuit is said to offer depth and breadth, and is able to deliver both sweeps and staccato sonic character via whirling helicopter patterns. The effect is also footswitchable, allowing for further adaptability during performances.
Modelling a classic spring reverb, the O Tone 40 also incorporates a digital reverb module, with tones ranging from subtle shimmer to ethereal trails. The combo’s fully buffered, low-impedance FX Loop allows for any number of effects and cables to be patched between the amp’s input and output sections without sacrificing tone. A direct output is also included to facilitate studio set ups and non-miked live shows.
