If you’ve been thinking about adding a modern shred-focused guitar to your collection, Tim Henson’s Ibanez TOD10 is worth a look – especially now that it’s $300 off.
Over at Sweetwater, you can pick up the TOD10 for $1,299, down from the usual $1,599.99. That’s a saving of $300, or almost 20%, on one of Ibanez’s most distinctive signature models.

The TOD10 is Henson’s third signature model with Ibanez, following the TOD10N acoustic-electric and his earlier THBB10. Designed for modern technical playing, the guitar features an American basswood body paired with a roasted maple neck and Ibanez’s AZ Oval C profile.
The guitar’s neck is topped with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard and jumbo frets, giving you plenty of room for those higher-register runs. There’s also the distinctive Tree of Death inlay, carried over from the Polyphia guitarist’s TOD10N acoustic-electric signature model.
Soundwise, the TOD10 comes equipped with a pair of Fishman Fluence Tim Henson signature humbuckers. They’re wired to a five-way pickup selector, along with straightforward single volume and tone controls, giving you several pickup combinations without an overly complicated control layout.
The rest of the hardware is just as purpose-built. You get a T1502 two-point synchronised tremolo bridge, Graph Tech TUSQ nut and angled output jack, while Gotoh MG-T locking tuners use a thumb-wheel locking mechanism rather than the adjustable-height H.A.P.M locking tuners found on other AZ models.
And then there’s that Metallic Mauve finish, which adds a nice splash of colour to the otherwise sleek design of the TOD10.
At $1,299, it’s still a serious investment, but knocking $300 off the usual price makes the TOD10 a much easier guitar to consider – especially if you’ve had your eye on Henson’s signature model for a while.
Head over to Sweetwater to get yours today.
