This makes us very, very happy. That is a photo of @johnmayer ‘s board on the @deadandcompany tour. I spy the True Spring Reverb with the Tap Switch (we assume to engage/disengage the tremolo)! Being HUGE Mayer AND Dead fans, this is truly an honor. Seeing some other great pedals from @strymonengineering @jimdunlopusa @ehx @klonllc and what looks like some kind of Tube Screamer (not sure which one). #sourceaudio #johnmayer #pedalboard #gearpassion #springreverb #truespringreverb

In the above Instagram post, Source Audio revealed that Mayer is indeed using the company’s True Spring Reverb pedal, as well as some Strymon, Dunlop and EHX units. The entire signal chain is detailed in another post by Instagram user johnmayergear.
The board is also stocked with some of Mayer’s well-documented favourites: a Klon Centaur, an Ibanez TS10 and an Electro-Harmonix Q-Tron+. Another interesting spot is Strymon’s tape delay behemoth, the Volante.

Two beautiful shows at The Gorge. There’s a gentleness inside of this band now, a kind of synchronized thinking we’ve picked up over these past few years together. This is rewarding stuff. (: Katie Friesema)

Besides pedals, Mayer has also been pictured using a triple-humbucker PRS model, which seems to be a modified take on his PRS Super Eagle.
