Guthrie was the star of the first ever Guitar Masterclass back in March 2017, and his blend of wit, wisdom and superhuman guitar playing was such a hit with attendees that he’s returning in 2018 at Camden’s Dingwalls on the 22nd March 2018!
Something of a musical polymath, it seems like there’s no guitar-based challenge that Guthrie won’t turn his hand to – he’s toured with English prog-rock legends Asia, performed with iconic film composer Hans Zimmer and even appeared on Jools Holland backing up Dizzee Rascal.
In recent years however, he’s poured most of his seemingly unending creative energy into two projects. Firstly, he’s become prog-rock maestro Steven Wilson’s go-to guitar foil on two critically acclaimed albums – The Raven That Refused To Sing, and Hand. Cannot. Erase. – and also, helped bring these wonderful works to a live setting. Somehow, he also finds the time to front his power trio, The Aristocrats.
