The North American Guitar opens Nashville store

London’s The North American Guitar – a guitar retailer known for its focus on bespoke luthiery and guitar builders outside of the mainstream – has partnered with Nashville’s Cotten Music Center to open its first location in the US.
The North American Guitar was founded by father and son Robert and Ben Montague in 2010, and has since expanded into providing for the international market, stocking such prestige brands as B&G, Kauer, Macmull, Fairbanks and plenty more besides.
As the business’ online presence grew, the TNAG team found itself looking at ways to provide the best customer service to its growing US customer base.
Cotten Music Center was opened by Richard Cotten in 1961 and was managed by Richard and his wife until his passing in 1995. Since then, the shop has been run by Kim Sherman, who said about the acquisition: “Cotten Music reached a point in our business where we needed additional support, and Ben’s passion for our preservation, in combination with the reputation that he and his father have built with TNAG, made for a wonderful friendship and partnership”.
