Clicking/humming noise when connecting exp /vol pedals?
I’ve recently acquired another GSystem to use with a different amp/setup.
I’ve factory reset etc, and followed the good “Dr” Lairds prescription on setup and all is good so far.
I’m using the 4 cable method, amp is doing all the overdrive distortion stuff, so the G system is purely there to provide effects/tuning/ muting as well as manage amp preset switches. The GFX1 is rack mounted.
However when I plug a volume or expression pedal into either of the foot controller jacks I get a noticeable regular rhythmical humm or click, and the louder/higher gain settings on the amp the more noticeable it gets.
Coincidentally this noise seems to match the rhythm of the flashing of the global tempo displays.
The noise starts as soon as you plug cables in to the controller, even before any pedals are connected.
All cables and pedals work perfectly with my older/original G System rig?
Anybody come across this or have any suggestions for solutions?
