How to clean a Satin finish on Maple Neck

Hi
I bought this beautiful Lefthanded 2005 Music Man Stingray in Vintage Sunburst.
The Maple neck and fretboard looks a bit vintage and matt.
The preowner told me “this is a Satin finish that retains dirt over time. This is a characteristic of this model built in the first decade of 2000s”

I wonder if this is correct and if yes, how and with what material can I clean and maintain such a finish?
I have no experience with such a matt satin finish
