JP16 Trem Cavity Issue.

I recently acquired a JP16-6 second hand and upon arrival I noticed 2 pretty significant chips in the paint at the rear of the trem cavity where it looks like they didnt route the cavity enough to allow the tremelo’s fine tuners to clear the body. I’m assuming the original owner yanked back on the bar and smashed the fine tuners into the body or he removed all the strings and let the trem sink into the body. Is this just something that was overlooked during the design stage?…does anyone else have this issue?
