Maintenance of Cobalt Flatwound strings (2816)
I have a set of Cobalt Flats that are about 5 months old and they have started to have a corrosion type kind of thing going on.
I can wipe them down with a lint free rag and they’re fine for a couple of days.
I was just wondering if there is something that will prevent the corrosion (or whatever it is) from happening.
Doesn’t seem like it would bode well for the long-term life of the strings.
They are starting to get a bit ‘thuddier’ on fretted notes, especially on the ‘B’ & ‘E’ strings…
